Misty Farm Events

Misty Farm is a private home on sixteen beautiful acres just six miles west of main Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan. On site are situated two historical barns; one built approximately 1860 and the other after the turn of the century. The Frutig’s purchased the property, a former Morgan Horse Farm, in 1999 and with their six children began renovations on the outbuildings immediately. Over the past twelve years, they have hosted countless events for many folks in the community. It was after their daughters wedding in 2009, that Kelly had the idea of offering the property for weddings. With the encouragement of some local wedding planners she launched Misty Farm Events. Within a very short time the word got out and Misty Farm has become a top choice for those seeking a beautiful outdoor venue close to the heart of Ann Arbor. Kelly and Ed have been married for 28 years and have six children. They have enjoyed living in Ann Arbor for the past 25 years. Kelly has home schooled since 1987 and Ed has had a career in the automotive world up until 2008. He now works for a local business here in Ann Arbor. They both enjoy working on the farm and seeing the buildings being enjoyed and appreciated by those in the community. They are committed to the community and hire all local artisans and skilled tradesmen who have the vision and craftmanship to restore and revive the beautiful framework here on the farm.
